Crochet Some Soap Accessories

Do you crochet? I do and I’ve been playing around with patterns for accessories to include with my gift baskets. I want to make them special and I want them to be handmade. Over the weekend, I spent some time searching for patterns for quick and simple items to make and I wanted to share with you what I’ve found. They are perfect for the baskets I have planned and also for special drawings and giveaways at craft shows, markets and home parties. Click on the links and pictures to view the patterns. If you knit, you should easily find similar items via a Google search.

Hugs & Kisses Washcloth Mini's Puff Flower Spa Cloths

These washcloths will go great in any basket and the colors can easily be changed out to match your styles. The first pattern - Hugs and Kisses Washcloth - takes no time at all to make and I like the dainty look of the finished project. The second pattern - Mini’s Puff Flower Spa Cloth - is a bit more work but really beautiful. It will be perfect in a more upscale basket.

These scrubbies are adorable and while the pattern is designed for a pot scrubber and uses a pot scrubber in the center of the flower, I started one last night using a bath pouf and it is working perfectly so far. If you crochet well, you can change the design of the petals to make different flowers to fit the season. If not, you could use the pattern as is and use different colored yarns to achieve the effect you are looking for. Wouldn’t pretty Poinsettia’s look great in a Christmas basket?

If you’re not in Ravelry yet, I’d suggest you to join. You can find a lot of knit & crochet patterns (free and pay), and see a lot of projects.
