I found this link to Zen Soaps Single Oil Swap Results on the Dish last year and was reminded of it again recently. A group of soapers swapped soaps made from a single oil in order to test the results of what each oil brought to the table. I find the results very useful when creating new recipes.

I want to add that you shouldn’t dismiss oils that performed badly at 100%. Those same oils can have magical results combined with other oils. The results should be used as a guide when deciding what oils to use for hardness, conditioning factors, which oils tend to have problems with DOS etc. You may find that one of your favorites oils gets DOS at 100% but yields great results when used in smaller amounts.
