Whystle Stop Soap

Blended African Black Soap
I haven’t had much experience with African Black Soap (ABS), but I find the process used to create this soap and the end results very intriguing. Depending on the region you purchase the ABS from, it can contain up to 48% shea butter. Frieda from Whystle Stop created the ABS soap pictured above. She played around with the idea of making her own black soap, but quickly concluded that it would be an expensive undertaking. She is now quite content to purchase authentic, fair trade ABS to mix in with her own soap recipe and the cow spot design she creates with it is just adorable! If you want to give an ABS soap a test, grab one of Frieda’s soaps on Etsy to see what you think.
