I love my soapmaking buddies and am very proud to be a part of the soapmaking community. We are competitors - online if not locally - yet we are extremely helpful and supporting of one another. We help each other troubleshoot issues concerning are businesses as well as our products. It’s an unusual dynamic but I see it happening in forums, email groups and on Twitter each and everyday.

Last week on Twitter there was a conversation about Salt Bars. I mentioned that I have horrible luck with them and that maybe 1 of 3 batches turned out perfectly. Bonnie from Hello Crafty jumped in to explain - in detail - the recipe and method that she uses and has great success with. I tried her method over the next few days and each batch I made came out perfectly and has a great deal more lather than my own recipe did. Bonnie rocks! And so do so many other soapers out there that give advise and help a struggling soaper out. So here’s to our community of woman, men, industry leaders, business owners, hobbyists, competitors and friends. I love you guys.
